The Philadelphia Eagles guard announced his retirement at a press conference.

How do you say goodbye to something you love?

The last six years with the Eagles was where he spent 10 years in the NFL. He helped the team win the Super Bowl and earned three Pro Bowl selections.

He was hampered by injuries over the past two seasons and had to sit out the 2020 campaign. He suffered a torn pectoral muscle in Week 2 of the season and did not return.

It didn't end the way I would have liked it, but to me, it's never about the ending. He said it was about the journey.

He talked about his love for the city of Philadelphia.

The third-round pick was taken by the Houston Texans. He started 44 games for the Texans over the next three years after winning a starting job.

His career took off when he joined the Eagles. He helped form one of the top offensive lines with Lane Johnson, Kelce and Peters.

Injuries derailed the career of the 32-year-old after he started every game in the past two seasons.
