According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, Anthony Davis will be on a minutes restriction in his return to the court Tuesday night against the Brooklyn Nets.

The eight-time All-Star missed a large portion of the season because of a left knee injury.

The front office has placed the team in a difficult situation because of the Lakers' deficiencies, but his absence has made the situation worse.

The acquisition of Russell Westbrook from the Wizards was done to help ease the burden on Davis and James during the regular season. Los Angeles was made more top-heavy by the move, which creates obvious issues when one of its best players is out for a long time.

Davis performance left something to be desired for some. He was averaging 23.3 points, 9.9 rebound and 2.0 blocks, which is below what he was doing in some of his best years with the Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans.

The Lakers are so broken that another injury to Davis wouldn't make a difference.

Ramona Shelburne reported on Tuesday that L.A. was holding off on firing head coach Frank Vogel because they didn't think changing the coach would make a difference.

There are no easy solutions to the most glaring problems in the 888-565- 888-565- situation.
