Huawei is releasing the P50 Pro and Pocket outside China, but not in the US

The P50 Pro and P50 Pocket will be sold outside of China. The P50 Pocket starts at 1,199 and the flagship Pro costs 1,199. Don't expect to get your hands on these in the US.

The P50 Pro and P50 Pocket don't ship with services from the Play Store because of the sanctions imposed by the country. That's despite the fact that the HarmonyOS is based on an open source version of Android.

The P50 Pro and P50 Pocket are 4G phones because of the sanctions. The P50 Pro and P50 Pocket will likely be more expensive than flagship Apple,Samsung and Google devices in many markets, so those tradeoffs might make them hard to sell. Around the corner is the next iteration of the S device.

Huawei P50 Pro

The P50 Pro has a 6.6-inch display with a resolution of 2700 x 1228 and a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as support for 1.07 billion colors. There are four cameras on the back: a 50MP main camera, 40MP mono camera, 64MP telephoto and 13MP ultrawide. The 13MP selfie camera is also included.

Up to 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging are supported by the 4,369 mAh battery. The P50 Pro comes with a lot of storage.

The P50 Pocket has a foldable design that is similar to the Z flip devices. Users can access the 6.9-inch display with a resolution of 2700 x 1228 and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with support for 1.07 billion colors and P3 wide color gamut, when unfolded.

There is a triple-camera array on the rear. There is a camera with a 32MP ultra spectrum camera and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. The mirror app allows users to visualize their sunscreen application and check for spots they may not have covered up.

There is a small circular display below the camera array that can show notifications and the weather. Control over features like music and cameras is allowed. The foldable comes with a lot of storage and memory. 40W charging is supported by the 4000 mAh battery.

The two phones run on the same chip. They will be sold in key markets in Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. When the phones will be available to purchase is not known.
