The former Celtic manager died of dementia at the age of 75.
On Tuesday, his former club said they had lost an icon and child of the club.
The Dutchman helped Celtic win a league and cup double in 1997-98, preventing Rangers from winning 10 top-flight titles in a row.

He will be remembered as the manager who signed the player.
He had been living with dementia before his 75th birthday.
After a spell in Japan, Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou arrived at the club and paid his own tribute on Sky Sports: "Like all of us you pass through these places and you want to make sure you leave your mark and in the 12 months he was here he was here."

Everyone at Celtic Park was sad to hear of the passing of former manager Wim Jansen this morning at the age of 75.
The manager who stopped the 10 in 1997/98 will always be remembered as the one who lifted the championship on the day of May 9, 1998 when two goals fromHenrik Larsson and Harald Brattbakk defeated St Johnstone.
The Dutch player, who had played against Celtic in the European Cup final, had also led the Hoops to the League Cup title.
Also forever remembered as the man who delivered Henrik Larsson to the club, it should also be remembered that Wim rebuilt the team that term with other signings such as the aforementioned Brattbakk, Paul Lambert, Marc Rieper, Craig Burley and Jonathan Gould among others.

After his playing career, Jansen remained loyal to the club and was an advisor, assistant and head coach.

In his time as a player, he was a part of some of the most successful teams ever. Four league titles, the European Cup, UEFA Cup, League Cup and Intercontinental Cup were won by theMidfielder.
He took on a role as a youth coach after leading the club to success, including a cup win in 1991. I have been a member of the club for over 60 years. This club has been the center of my life. As a youth player, then as a football player, then as a trainer, then as a technical director, and now at the youth academy. My life is eyenoord.
