It would have been more difficult for people to research him back then, since he didn't have a website.

It was a brave move by him. We try to make an impact and leave a mark. He left the place a little bit better than what we had.

Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who worked under Jansen at Feyenoord, said he was sad to hear that he had left. I have known the family for a long time and I was an assistant when I was a player.

Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst says Jansen was the first coach at Feyenoord to recognise his potential

He was the first coach I had that allowed me to train with older players than I was.

He helped me in my development as a player when he saw my potential at a young age. I have good memories of him.

He was an important player for the Dutch team, which won the European Cup in 1970, one of the biggest achievements of the club. It is sad to hear the news today.

He took on a role as a youth coach after leading the club to success, including a cup win in 1991. I have been a member of the club for over 60 years. This club has been the center of my life. As a youth player, then as a football player, then as a trainer, then as a technical director, and now at the youth academy. My life is eyenoord.
