The number of games being called off has caused a lot of controversy and the league will meet on Wednesday to look at changing its guidance.

There have been 22 postponements this season because of Covid-19 cases, injuries and international call-ups.

The last game to be called off was on January 16.

After a two-week break, the league will resume on 5 February with new guidelines.

There are claims that clubs are manipulating the rules in order to get postponements.

In December, clubs were told to fulfill matches if they had a goalkeeper and 13 outfield players available.

When applying for a postponement, clubs can include injured players and international duty players on their list.

The number of top-flight players testing positive for drugs has fallen for the fourth week in a row, and officials think it's time to change the rules.
