The relationship between Panasonic andTesla has been a success. The team-up continues despite the fact that the Japanese electronics company was able to spin off its $30 million stake in the electric car company. The next-gen battery could boost EV ranges by over 15 percent.

The battery may have a fivefold increase in energy capacity, despite being twice as big as previous versions. The new equipment that Panasonic is investing in is just a small part of the windfall.

Google’s next Chromecast with Google TV may be a budget model

It’ll have a remote but only stream at 1080p.

A new Chromecast is being developed for people who haven't yet purchased a 4K TV. Protocol states that the low-end device will have a maximum stream resolution of1080p.

The device is said to be capable of decoding the AV1 video codec, which is something the 4K-capable Chromecast with Google TV doesn't support at the hardware level. The device will be less expensive than the one with Google TV.

Plaid must pay $58 million to users of Venmo, Robinhood and other apps

It reportedly collected "more financial data than was needed" from users.

If you have never heard of Plaid, they may owe you part of a multimillion-dollar lawsuit settlement. The company was accused of collecting excessive financial data from consumers and connecting their bank accounts to other services. It agreed to pay $58 million to all consumers with a linked bank account, even though it denied any wrongdoing.

AT&T is rolling out multi-gig fiber internet to more than 70 cities

New plans will offer symmetrical 2Gbps or 5Gbps data speeds starting at $110 a month.

AT&T is now offering two new plans for its fiber-based broadband service. Dallas, LA and Atlanta will be among the 70 metro areas where the company's new multi-Gig fiber broadband will be available. The 2-Gig plan will cost $110 per month plus tax, while the 5-Gig plan will cost $180 per month for businesses.

There are more rumors about Google. There have been rumors for a long time that the company is making its own device. Last month, it was suggested that a Google- branded watch could arrive sometime in 2022, now the latest murmurs point to the end of May. The Wear OS devices have a circular face over the past few years. It will likely have a heart rate sensor and other features that were bought by the company. But nothing has been confirmed yet. We will share more when we hear more.

It's using the AI Research SuperCluster to develop new experiences for the metaverse.

The first phase of a new artificial intelligence supercomputer has been completed by Meta. The company believes the Artificial Intelligence Research SuperCluster (RSC), once finished, will be the fastest artificial intelligence supercomputer on the planet, capable of performing nearly 5 exaflops of mixed precision compute.

What? RSC will help researchers develop better models that can learn from trillions of examples. The models will be able to build better augmented reality tools andseamlessly analyze text, images and video together.
