When the ice finally starts to melt, you can enjoy spending more time outside with the new products from the smart lighting company.

Three new additions to the outdoor smart lighting line will be arriving in the US on March 1st, 2022. Two new lighting effects are coming to the Hue app later this year to add features to its indoor smart bulbs.

The Inara wall light is a vintage-style outdoor wall light with a bulb. The first incandescent bulb was designed by Thomas Edison and it has an electric filament visible through it.

This traditional look is very popular in fixture that have an exposed bulb. Since it is only available inside the Inara's black vintage-style lantern, you can't buy the outdoor bulb on its own.

The Inara doesn't have color-changing options, instead you can adjust the brightness of the bulb with a remote control, or with your voice.

The Resonate wall light is black and will be available on March 1st. The minimalist design casts either white light or colored light up and down a wall. This type of light can be used to highlight architectural features.

The new light fixtures need to be connected to the Hue app and the bridge for automations such as turning on the lights when you arrive home. The outdoor motion sensor can be used with any of the lights. Apple HomeKit and Amazon Home are smart home platforms.

In the first quarter of 2022, Signify announced that an update for the Philips Hue app would be released. Two new effects are coming to the company's indoor bulbs, candle and fireplace, which will let you set your Hue bulbs to mimic the glow of a fireplace.

Candlelight was part of the Labs section of the app, but it is now in the main app. The effects of candle and fireplace will work on all compatible lights.
