New MGM Rewards, Waived Fees Apply to myVEGAS Stays

MGM recently changed its rewards program name. MGM rewards will take over the M life program, which will be a thing of the past. MGM has added new benefits such as waiving resort fees, free show tickets, and more.

MGM rewards members with Gold tier status or higher will be able to waive resort fees. You must book through MGM Resorts to take advantage of this new perk. It was not clear if these fees would be waiving for myVEGAS bookings.

If you haven't heard of myVEGAS, it's an online game that allows you to earn coins and redeem them for things like meals, drinks and hotel rooms. You have to pay resort fees when you redeem points for stays.

Eye of the Flyer has confirmed that myVEGAS stays would be considered a direct booking so resorts fees would not be charged. The MGM representative gave the information.

You would need to be a member of MGM Rewards Gold to have your resort fees nixed. The changes for the M Life program go into effect on February 1, 2022.
