Bohemians launch Bob Marley-inspired kit for 2022 season

Promise Omochere was the model for the new shirt.

League of Ireland club Bohemians have collaborated with the family of Bob Marley to commemorate a famous concert on their kit.

Four years after they had to pull a similar kit because they didn't have the image rights, the Bohs' away strip will feature the face of Marley.

On 6 July 1980, the club's stadium hosted the last outdoor concert by Bob Marley.

The new kit has an embroidered hem tag of the original concert ticket on the front, as well as a picture of Bob Marley and the Jamaican flag.

There are some details on the new shirt.

The director of the club said that a mural of the singer at the stadium is part of the club's heritage.

He said there was a big picture of Bob. It has become part of our story.

The ground has hosted some of the best players in the world, including Marco van Basten, George Best and Pele.

Why has he left a mark on all of them?

Bob was a big football fan. Football and music bring people together.

Bob Marley had a love affair with football.

The first major worldwide star to play an open-air gig in Ireland was Bob Marley and the Wailers, who were booked by Pat Egan.

10% of the profits from the sale of the new kit will go towards the purchase of musical instruments and football equipment for people in asylum centers across Ireland.

Last season's away shirt featured the name of Fontaines D.C., a post-punk Dublin band, with money from sales going to a homeless charity.

Last year, the club brought out a third kit which paid homage to the man.
