Brian Billick, the former Baltimore Ravens coach, has been hired by Arizona State as an offensive analyst.
Billick is the third former head coach of the Ravens to join the staff of the Sun Devil. Billick was an analyst for the NFL Network.
"Brian is a person that I completely trust and I have known him since the 1980s," he said. He has built one of the best reputations in the league as a head coach, an assistant coach and as a television analyst. I hired Brian because he is one of the best offensive minds in football today. He will be a valuable resource to our offensive staff.
Billick was the coach of the Hula Bowl all-star game when he was approached by Arizona State. He said he has known Lewis for a long time and that he has long-term connections with Billick and Ray Anderson. Lewis spent the 2020 season as co-defensive coordinators after joining the staff as a special adviser.
Billick won a Super Bowl with the Ravens after the 2000 season and made three other playoff appearances. He was a college football coach.
Billick said in a statement that he loves what they are doing. It's all about structure in the NFL and I hope I can bring that to the table at ASU. My 12 years at Fox and the NFL Network have allowed me to see the game from a different perspective. I will bring that perspective to this position.
