Perkins was a five-star recruit for Texas A&M.

Perkins is the top outside linebacker in the class. He was a recruit from Cypress Park High School in Cypress, Texas, and had only recently committed to the Aggies.

He was one of four five-star players in Texas A&M's class.

Perkins was impressed when he visited Florida with new coach Billy Napier. He will visit LSU this weekend according to his uncle.

The five-star prospect was originally from New Orleans and moved to the Houston area after Hurricane Katrina destroyed his family's home. His mother decided to move the family to Texas in hopes of avoiding future catastrophes like Hurricane Katrina.

The first day of the signing period will be Feb. 2, when Perkins will make his final decision.
