There is an update for 3 p.m. The final home of NASA's James Webb Space Telescope is around the Earth-sun Lagrange point 2. We have a full story here.

On Monday, the James Webb Space Telescope will arrive at its deep-space destination, nearly a month after it was launched.

About 1.5 million kilometers away from our planet, the Earth-sun L2 will be the location of the Webb telescope. Thanks to its alignment with the sun and Earth, the spacecraft can use a minimum of fuel.

During the burn, NASA will not be broadcasting from mission control. NASA plans to broadcast several follow-up events live today after executing the crucial burn at about 2 p.m. The time is 1900 GMT.

The broadcast will be held at 3 p.m. The NASA Science Live website features scientists and engineers working on the project.

Questions can be submitted on social media using the #UnfoldtheUniverse or by leaving a comment on the stream. Two people will answer questions, one is a deputy project scientist at NASA and the other is a flight systems engineer at the Space Telescope Science Institute.

A media teleconference will follow the public livestream. The live broadcast will be on the agency's website. Who will be on the call?

The optical telescope element manager is Lee Feinberg.
Amy lo is the vehicle engineering lead.
The manager of the observatory.
Jane is a project scientist for the Webb operations project.

To better understand the early days of our universe, to peer at distant exoplanets and their atmosphere, and to answer large-scale questions such as how quickly the universe is expanding are some of the objectives of the mission.

The $10 billion telescope launched in December after years of delays, but has executed its goals on time and with little trouble to date. The deployment of its main mirror was concluded with only a few minor issues.
