Thompson was asked if the committee would speak with Barr.

Donald Trump had a close ally in Barr. On December 1, 2020, Barr said the Justice Department found no evidence of widespread fraud that would change the results of the election. Barr resigned later that month after Trump continued to push fraud claims.
The existence of the draft executive order on seizing voting machines was first reported in December 2020. The draft was never signed by Trump.
