Police arrested a Florida man who threatened to decapitate Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

A man was arrested in Florida for threatening to kill two congresswomen.
The Justice Department said in a release that Paul Vernon Hoeffer pleaded guilty to making threatening phone calls.
According to a release, Hoeffer admitted in federal court that he called Pelosi's office and threatened to cut her head off.
According to the release, Hoeffer made a similar call to the New York office of Ocasio-Cortez in November 2020.

He said he would "rattle her brain" when he called Kim.

Each of the three counts of interstate transmission of threat to kidnap or injure carries a five-year prison sentence, according to the plea agreement filed in the Southern District of Florida.
According to the release from the Justice Department, Hoeffer will be sentenced in April and will face up to 15 years in prison.

In addition to a term of imprisonment and supervised release, the Court may impose a fine of up to $250,000 dollars and may order forfeiture, according to the plea agreement.
