It is not possible for Peloton to catch a break. The stock plunged on Thursday after rumors it was suspending production of its connected bikes and treadmills and a second TV show character had a heart attack while riding a Peloton. A beloved character from Sex and the City was killed off after a workout on one of the company's bikes.

The ghost of Mr. Big is going to haunt the town.

In the season six premiere of Billions, which is available in an early release via streaming, including for free, ahead of the show's usual Sunday night time slot, the character is interrupted by EMTs who tell him he's having a heart attack. The medics were called by his bosses who were secretly getting heart rate data from an Oura-like ring and initially suspected a different kind of late-night workout. He triumphantly announces to his co-workers that he is not going out like Mr. Big when he returns to the office.

Mr. Big is no longer with And Just Like That, but he is still haunting Peloton. The company's real stock prices were hurt by the fictional character's death. Peloton tried to turn the situation around with an ad featuring Ryan Reynolds and Chris Noth. The ad explains the health benefits of regular cycling and ends with "he's alive." Two women accused Noth of sexual assault after the ad was scrubbed from the internet.

Billions are using the same plot point, according to The New York Times. The line about Mr. Big was written and filmed early last year. Even as someone who doesn't watch Billions, this is delightful. The company has not blamed the heart condition on the extravagant lifestyle of Wag, but it did point out the benefits of a good cardio workout to the Times.

I am inclined to agree. I feel great after my workout after laughing at the situation.
