A group of people dining at a Florida waterfront restaurant fell into the water after the deck collapsed.

Two diners had to be taken to a hospital because of the injuries they received.
There was an incident at Flip Flops. Diners were eating outside when a chunk of the deck fell.

Insider did not get a response from Flip Flops Dockside Eatery.
Three adults were pulled out of the water by other people after the collapse, after swimming to a boat near the dock.
There were signs of decay on the dock. Stephen Gollan is the fire rescue battalion chief in Fort Lauderdale. He said that repairs had recently been carried out.
Fort Lauderdale building officials were looking into the structural integrity of the dock.
The restaurant states on its website that it wants everyone to feel at home. It says that it is a place where people can chill out and watch the boats sail along the Fort Lauderdale Intracoastal while listening to the sounds of the islands.
