Idris Elba in the 'Conversation' to Play James Bond Next, Producers Say

The crew call on the show.

Fans of James Bond are not giving up on the idea of seeing a black man play the spy.

Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson talked about Daniel Craig's final outing as the MI6 agent and gave a bit of insight into who could potentially succeed him in future installments.

Broccoli and Wilson were asked if they had discussions with IE about taking on the mantle, amid a massive push from the fans to get the guy in Bond's tuxedo.

Check it out. They're friends, which seems to answer the question, as she says she knows them personally. She probably chatted with him about it.

She goes on to say that there is a chance that someone could possibly carry on the legacy, but as for who that person is, she leaves it vague. Barb makes it sound like his name has been thrown around among the '007' executives.

She hedges and pulls back when she is asked about it, and says they aren't even seriously considering names just yet, because they want to give DC his victory lap while "No Time to Die" is still in theaters.

The fact that the host mentioned calls for Pierce Brosnan to be tapped back in the late '80s/'90s seems to confirm that these Bond gatekeepers listen to what the fans want.

Even though Craig is older than him, some say that he is too old to play Bond.

With all the speculation at its peak, we have to ask, who should play the next Bond?
