Knives Out 2 is Expected to Release in Late 2022

Knives Out, a pretty good murder mystery starring Daniel Craig as a charmingly strange detective and a murder's row of suspects, including Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, and the late Christopher Plummer, was released back in 2019. The film went on to become a smash critical and box office hit. With his Star Wars tenure seemingly in production purgatory for the forseeable future, Johnson had time to craft a new case. The first of two anticipated sequel has a release window.

Variety reported on Friday that Knives Out 2 is expected to land in theaters and on the streaming service at the end of the year. It is believed that the film will appear during the end of year festival circuit, though which ones are currently unclear. The first one was nominated for several awards, including Best Original Screenplay at the Oscars and Best Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes, so it makes sense that the sequel would try to get some awards. Don't Look Up and tick, tick...Boom are some of the films that will be made byNetflix this year.

The details on Knives Out 2 have been very quiet. All that is known is that Craig is back as Blanc, and that Johnson has assembled a pretty stacked cast for the Southern detective to investigate and form a relationship with. Heavy hitters in the cast include Jessica Henwick, Dave Bautista, and Kathryn Hahn. The film was wrapped up in September.

With a late 2022 window now revealed, here is hoping that we get some more info and a trailer for Knives Out 2 soon.
