Mike Ashley: Former Newcastle owner suing Amanda Staveley for breaching terms of £10m loan

The terms of the loan agreement stipulated that she couldn't criticize him publicly, which is why she is being sued by Mike.

The sale of the club to a Saudi-led group in October made the former owner of the club a part-owner, and brought an end to his 14-year association with the club.

The documents submitted to the High Court show that the loan was provided to help facilitate the sale of the club.

As a co-conspirator, Mehrdad Ghodoussi is being sued as well.

The litigation will not distract them from their transfer business ahead of the January deadline, according to a spokesman.

The directors of Newcastle United are being sued.

One of the terms of the loan was that there would be no public criticism of the tenure of the player after the purchase, according to the legal team.

There were eight different examples when that was violated.

The legal action was brought because of the sum not being paid after the legal team for the player initially asked for the money to be returned.

The response from the Staveley spokesman was in full.

A company owned by MikeAshley has issued proceedings against the two people. The claim relates to the acquisition of NUFC.

Ms Staveley and Mr Ghodoussi are very confident in their ability to successfully defend the claim, however they do not intend to comment on the details of the litigation.

The litigation won't affect the work done by Ms Staveley and Mr Ghodoussi, as they focus on the opportunities and deadlines presented by the January transfer window.
