England is back in action from Saturday evening, after they were thrashed by the Aussies.

Their white-ball team will be looking to put smiles on faces after a difficult winter when they play the West Indies in a five-game Twenty20 series.

England will be without their players in the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia, giving others the chance to impress.

Sam and Tom Curran are both missing through injury, while Ben and Mark Wood are unavailable because they have played in Australia.

Jofra Archer is still out with an elbow injury, but he has traveled to Barbados to continue his rehabilitation.

England, who are ranked number one in the world in T20 cricket, have both openers available again, after both sustained injuries in October and November's T20 World Cup, where England were eliminated by New Zealand in the semi-finals.

There are four players who have yet to play T20 cricket for England in the 17-man squad, including Yorkshire batter Harry Brook, George Garton, David Payne and Phil Salt.

Tom Banton, James Vince and Saqib Mahmood are likely to play throughout and be given the chance to press their claims for a more regular spot.

After flying from Los Angeles to Miami, Sam Billings joined the squad as planned.

England will be coached by Paul Collingwood, who captained England in their 2010 T20 World Cup success, with Marcus Trescothick, Anthony McGrath, Alan Richardson and Paul Tweddle assisting him.

After Roy hit 115 from 47 balls in England's 231-4 victory, they played a warm-up game against the President's XI. Mills was the bowler who took the most pins.

West Indies were disappointing in last year's World Cup, winning one group game in their defence of the title, but they are currently ranked 10th in the world.

They are in a period of transition, with all-rounders, including Chris Gayle, retiring after that tournament, as well as bowler and all-rounders, including Ravi Rampaul, who have all been left out.

Middle-order batter Shimron Hetmyer failed his start-of-season fitness test, while Evin Lewis was not considered for selection after testing positive for Covid-19.

Bowlers Odean Smith, Romario Shephard and Dominic Drakes have been included.

There are no uncapped players in the Windies squad.

The Windies are starting from the bottom and need to do what is needed at the moment.

When the pressure is on, we tend to fail. We've tried to plan as well as we can, but it won't happen overnight.

England won a three-game series in the West Indies in March of next year, and will play a five-game series with the other side.

In the opening game of the World Cup last year, England beat the West Indies by six goals.

The T20 series ends in Antigua on 8 March.
