Despite a disappointing playoff performance, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones isn't wavering in his support of his quarterback.
When asked if he thinks the Cowboys can win a Super Bowl, Jones said "I sure do."
The season was a success for the Cowboys. He came back from the compound fracture and ankle injury he suffered in Week 5 last year.
After he played the 2020 season on the franchise tag, Dallas signed him to a long-term extension. He got a four-year contract in March.
The franchise's single-season record for touchdown passes was set by Prescott. He was fourth in the NFL in completion percentage and seventh in passing yards.
The Cowboys made the playoffs for the first time in over a year. They finished first in the NFL in weighted and total DVOA.
The Cowboys had high hopes going into the playoffs, but they were unable to meet those expectations in a 23-17 loss to the 49ers in the Wild Card game.
The Cowboys were unable to spike the ball to stop the clock before time expired because they couldn't find a running back.
The quarterback finished the game with one touchdown and one interception. In his four playoff games, the 28-year-old has a 60.96 completion percentage, 1,048 yards, six touchdown and three turnovers.
