The Kansas City Chiefs will play the Buffalo Bills in the playoffs.

Gay pleaded not guilty to a charge of criminal property damage of less than $1,000. He spent the night in the county jail after he was arrested.

Gay returned to practice on Friday. Gay was allowed to play against the Bills.

"I decided he would play,'' he said. I'm not going to talk to Gay. I decided after hearing some of the information.

$225 worth of property was damaged at an apartment. A vacuum cleaner, cellphone screen protectors, a wall, and a door frame were damaged.

Gay is not allowed to have contact with her or the baby until the case is heard by a civil judge.

The court is scheduled to hear Gay's case on March 2.

Gay started 11 games for the Chiefs this season, including Kansas City's playoff win last weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has sacks and two picks.
