The Ahsoka Disney+ Star Wars Show Adds Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Fans went nuts when Ahsoka Tano appeared. They got even more excited when it was announced that the Jedi apprentice would be getting her own show. The show is getting ready for production and is adding to its cast.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead is joining the cast of the show. There is no word on who she is playing, but she will be starring with other people, including a rumored playing of a character called Sabine Wren.

Dave Filoni is writing the show and he is also an executive producer. George Lucas and Filoni co-created the character of Ahsoka for The Clone Wars, and since then she has followed through with her story in Star Wars Rebels and The Mandalorian. In the next few months, production will begin.

We usually speculate on who Winstead is playing but in this case it is pointless. Maybe she could be like Hera Syndulla. She is so versatile and talented that you can't tell if she is a hero or a villain. We have seen her do both, and sometimes in the same role. She could be one of the top officers in the Empire if she does deal with Grand Admiral Thrawn. Maybe there is a kind of Inquisitor. Her addition to the cast is excellent because it could be anything.

We won't get to see her in action for a while. Information about the show and her casting might be made public during Star Wars Celebration in May, but Andor, Obi Wan Kenobi, and season three of The Mandalorian are all likely to be released before Ahsoka. It will take a long time to see how the Jedi continue in the post-Return of the Jedi world.
