Protecting Unborn Children in a Post-Roe World

The 49th annual March for Life will take place in Washington, D.C., on Friday.

The pro-life movement has used the march as a symbol of their fight to overturn the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion.

This year's march will take place a few months before we hope to see a turning point in American history. The Supreme Court will make a decision on the constitutionality of a Mississippi law that protects unborn children after the first 15 weeks of pregnancy.

The high court could potentially overturn the decision to allow abortion. If abortion is legalized, it wouldn't be illegal. We would see a national debate in the halls of Congress if states were allowed to further protect life.

Americans who believe in the sanctity of human life must do everything in their power to ensure that innocent life is protected.

It would be a huge victory if the Supreme Court overturns the abortion law of Wade.

One of the main goals of the pro-life movement is to overturn Roe. The pro-life movement is trying to protect the right to life in law, but is also trying to make sure that abortion is not allowed.

The pro-life movement will enter a new phase of activism and pro-life policymaking after Roe goes.

The American Cornerstone Institute, the Conservative Partnership Institute, Family Research Council, The Heritage Foundation, and Susan B. Anthony List are all pro-life allies who are committed to making the post-Dobbs world as protective as possible for women and unborn children.

Much of what we can do depends on how the high court decides. The policy landscape across all levels of government will be ripe with new opportunities to further protect innocent human life if the ruling in Dobbs is completely overturned.

It's possible that the court won't overturn Wade.

If the court allows the Mississippi law to stand, the new abortion regime would provide new avenues for life-affirming policies. It would require continued efforts to correct a grave constitutional error in order to leave an unworkable framework in place.

It would be a failure by a majority-conservative bench to faithfully interpret the Constitution if the court relied on the case of Roe to strike down the Mississippi law. It's a failure if anything less than reversing the decision is involved.

All of us in the pro-life movement would continue to work together to change the minds of the American people about abortion, because real change cannot happen until we have a culture that recognizes abortion for what it really is.

Our steadfast commitment to the principle that all life is precious and that the unborn must be protected from intentional destruction will guide us through this.

We have to fight against the false history, false science, false constitutional interpretation, and false morality of the pro-abortion movement. We should not punish women who have had abortions, but instead work with organizations to help them heal.

We have the chance to change this year. Millions of Americans will focus on the issue after the Supreme Court made a landmark decision in the pro-life movement.

We are committed to preparing for this moment and working together to protect those who can't.

Every one of us has a unique gift and role to play in our effort to build a culture of life, from policymaking to volunteering with a local pregnancy resource center to peacefully praying and offering support to women outside abortion clinics.

We intend to do that. Join us.
