Titan Travel confirms ‘trade is part of our recovery’

After Saga said it would reduce its trade distribution, Titan Travel moved to assure agents it would continue to work with them.

Saga announced changes to work with a smaller group of trade partners on Wednesday, prompting fears that Titan may follow suit.

The cruise and touring operator was labelled a bolt out of the blue by some agents.

Andy Squirrell told Travel Weekly that there was nothing different in terms of trade ties.

He said that they have been partners with the trade for a long time. They have always been a big part of our business. Nothing changes.

Squirrell said the trade is part of the recovery from the Covid-19 epidemic.

The trade has played a big part in customer retention.

They have an important role to play. We want to support the trade and enforce that message.

He said that the trade was delighted with how it had responded to the offer.

Squirrell said there would be a lot more to come for agents.

We are looking to strengthen the trade further.

Saga is seeking a sale of Titan Travel.
