Dollar beers were on offer at Rokko's Teriyaki.

The local eatery in the small college town of Cheney, Washington had a busy evening.

Cooper Kupp didn't drink at the place.

After football practice, Kupp drove his white Nissan Pathfinder, often with teammates in passenger seats hoping their ride wouldn't experience one of its infamous breakdowns, across the Eastern Washington campus from the red-turf Roos Field to the restaurant, where a special someone would be expecting him.

Anna Kupp worked her first job behind the cash register or serving orders in Styrofoam containers.

Anna said she supported them financially through college. I worked full-time so that he didn't have to worry about that.

After a summer of morning workouts followed by an afternoon landscaping job, Cooper realized that he was exhausted when the football season began.

His full-time job was football and school. Anna supported and sacrificed in order to attend college.

Without a doubt, there's no doubt in my mind that I wouldn't be here today and I wouldn't accomplish the things that I would be doing without her. If it wasn't for her and what she has inspired in me and pushed me to do, I may not be in the NFL.

Anna and Cooper Jamison, one of the couple's two young sons, cheered on Kupp from a suite at Sofi Stadium as the Rams dominated the Arizona Cardinals in a wild-card round of the playoffs. The Rams and Brady will play at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday. NBC.

Kupp, a third-round pick from an NCAA college, became a star this season, earning a unanimous All-Pro selection and being named to his first Pro Bowl.

Kupp became the fourth player in league history to win the triple crown, as he led the league in receiving yards and receiving touchdown.

Sean McVay said that he has been a special player since the Rams drafted him five years ago. "Love Cooper Kupp."

Idaho State and Eastern Washington offered Kupp two college scholarship offers.

One of four siblings and the son of Craig and Karin, Kupp has some NFL experience in his family. Jake Kupp was a Pro Bowl guard for the New Orleans Saints in the 1970s and his father was a quarterback for the New York Giants in 1990. He played for two teams. Cooper's pursuit of the NFL was aided by the knowledge his grandpa and dad passed on.

When asked what we don't know about him, Kupp was quick to respond.

He said that Anna doesn't get enough credit for her accomplishments.

She should.

She brings the most out of him.

The drills Cooper Kupp did with his father have paid dividends in his football career.

It could be curious, given his track record of dedication, why Kupp was so adamant that he wouldn't have been able to succeed at the highest level without Anna.

Kupp's best friend from high school said that Anna was his rock. I don't think there's a Cooper without what Anna has done for him. She has a high threshold for excellence because she expects a lot out of the people around her.

Cooper works harder because of that.

The two girls met at a track meet.

When we first met in high school, Kupp knew he wanted to marry her. I told my mom the day I met her that I was going to marry her.

They began dating before Anna went to the SEC. They decided the distance and separation was no longer feasible.

Anna had to double-time her credits at Eastern Washington because they wouldn't transfer and she couldn't graduate on time.

Both of them were grounded in their faith and family.

I told my mom I was going to marry that girl. Cooper Kupp was drawn to Anna because she helped him with his diet.

"Coop and Anna were a team," said a former Eastern Washington teammate. "No matter what they did, they're doing it together."

They would get married in the summer after she came back. No need to wait.

"We were so aligned in our goals, what we wanted to do, and what we wanted to be about as a couple," Kupp said. The place that I was supposed to be was the community of football, and that's where God placed us.

Cooper and Anna were skeptical that they would miss the college experience.

A lot of people ask why they got married so young. Did you feel like you were missing out? Anna said something. You're telling them that we actually think the opposite. We are so lucky to have found someone that we love.

A sign-up sheet was taped to the locker room white board at Eastern Washington's campus to let people know they were going to their wedding.

It was one way to reduce the number of people on the list, and another way to make sure they wouldn't be spending a lot of money on teammates who probably wouldn't care about a formal invite.

Anna said that they got the guest list down to 400 and that they didn't get any RSVPs. My parents don't drink alcohol, so we told people to bring their own. My dad is not going to pay for that, so we're not trying to be cheap.

Is the next big rivalry between Mahomes and Allen?

Kupp credits his wife with inspiration.

Brady's playoff touch is inside.

The offense of the Bengals is a concern.

The Jets need to be rebuilt.

"If you looked out, you'd see some of our teammates with a six pack on the wedding table," said the best man. It was a lot of fun.

Anna was often where you'd see Cooper. They created the college experience they wanted.

"I'm just so appreciative of her willingness to do all that, and being able to find time to be together and find meaningful time together, but also getting things done," Kupp said.

Kupp and a few of his teammates used to see Anna at movie nights.

Jordan West, one of Kupp's groomsmen, said movie nights were the best. We'd watch everything from 'Finding Nemo' to 'Gladiator'.

She would work out on the field and challenge Cooper in the weight room.

She would run laps around me in the workouts she did with me. It is unbelievable.

She would bring her homework or a book when she sat at Nick Edward's desk to watch film with him.

"I can't tell you how many times I'd walk in and he'd be watching film with Anna and I'd be there as well," he said.

Anna would put together bags with cookies and a note written by Cooper at players' lockers on game days.

"I had a key to the facilities and was able to get into the locker room whenever I wanted to," Kupp said. I would give her the keys to the locker room and she would put them in the guys' lockers.

"If you showed up in your locker and you had cookies from Anna before the game, you were blessed," he said.

Cooper Kupp and Anna Kupp were always together at Eastern Washington.

When Kupp had an AC sprain in his shoulder, he couldn't move or lift his arm. Anna was helping him get dressed.

"Coop had a support system with Anna," West said. She was always with him.

There were the finances. Anna and Cooper wanted to prove to their parents that they could make it on their own.

If we had asked our parents, they would have helped out. As a married couple, we wanted to separate and take care of ourselves.

Their efforts paid off, as Kupp was named a four-time consensus All-American and established 15 records at Eastern Washington.

Making history.

The capacity crowd at SoFi Stadium bellowed "Cooooooop" more times than one could keep track of.

Kupp beat every defender, then caught a 56-yard pass in stride for a touchdown in an eventual win over the Chicago Bears that saw him catch seven passes for108 yards.

The Los Angeles Rams will be playing on September 13, 2021.

In Week 2, Kupp went off again, this time dropping defenders for yards after the catch, finishing with nine reception for 163 yards and two touchdown, while giving the Indianapolis Colts' defense fits.

His connection with Matthew Stafford was perfect.

Stafford said after their second game that he was one of those guys that was overlooked. "He's extremely talented, does everything that we ask him to do, whether it's blocking for his other guys on the team, whether it be receivers or running backs, running down the field making big plays, catching the ball behind the line of scrimmage and going for big

With two of Kupp's previous three seasons cut short due to injuries, it seemed unlikely that he would be able to keep up the pace.

He caught nine passes for 96 yards and two scores in a win over the defending champion Buccaneers the next week, and then he had over 100 receiving yards in three games in a row.

During the Rams' 12-5, NFC West-winning season, he kept going.

"The work ethic, the way he goes about it, the attention to detail, all those things add up and you see the results," said Beckham, who joined the Rams 10 games into Kupp's season-long tear. It's the attention to detail for me, along with being a phenomenal talent and football player and athlete.

Kupp surpassed 90 receiving yards in all but one game this season, the first year of a three-year contract extension. He leads the league in yards after catch with 848, 78 more than the next closest receiver, Deebo Samuel, and he ranks second in the league with 237 yards after first contact.

Kupp has 89 catches for first down in the NFL and 192 for the season, but he has five drops.

Play.

Cooper Kupp is this season's fantasy Most Valuable Player according to the Fantasy Focus crew.

He became the Rams single-season receiving yards leader in Week 17 with 1,782 yards. He was close to becoming the NFL's single-season reception and receiving yards leader.

Anna said that she told him the other day that she was proud of him. I'm proud of you when you wake up at two in the morning to rock our kid, and I'm proud of you when you wake up at four in the morning to watch film, because I'm proud of you.

Kupp 2.0.

Kupp's friends from Eastern Washington are still in regular contact.

Despite his success, fame and contracts, he remains the same person.

Before he became too embarrassed to admit he was still hungry, Kupp downed 12 taco before a workout in high school and sleepovers at friends meant their mothers would make up to four breakfasts for him. A $10 Pizza Hut box would be dessert to a $5 Subway footlong in college.

West said that there were few times where food was left with Coop.

After Anna helped him discover the science behind nutrition and the effect it could have on his performance and recovery, Kupp is now careful about what he puts into his body.

When his friends see photos from Rams games or his postgame news conferences, they know he isn't dressing himself.

"It's a funny thing to see because I remember playing World of Warcraft all weekend long," he said. It's funny to see the transformation.

The style, such as the white denim jacket he wore after a win over the Seahawks that had colored tassels hanging down the back, and the green tie-dye matching set he wore in Indy, are all Anna.

Kupp is proud of his success, though he rarely credits his own accomplishments.

Kupp can't give an immediate answer when asked what it's meant to have his family by his side for all that he's achieved.

It's hard to say something. I think I'll have to write it out and put it together. I don't think I can tell you just off the top of my head that she deserves justice for all this.

Anna said Kupp was deserving of all the recognition.

She said she saw the work more than anyone else. I see his dedication to his craft and his sacrifice. It has been great to watch.
