The Cowboys quarterback was fined $25K by the NFL after he praised fans for throwing trash at refs.
Fans threw garbage at officials as they left the field of play.
When he was told that the debris-throwing was aimed at theumps, he applauded the acts.
"S*," he said. "Give them credit, then."
The criticism grew so loud that he apologized.
The 28-year-old apologized for comments he made about the officials after the game. My words were uncalled for and unfair as I was caught up in the emotion of a disappointing loss.
He said that the safety of everyone who attends a game or participates on the field of a sporting event is a very serious matter.
"That was a mistake on my part, and I am sorry."
The Cowboys' season is over after the weekend loss, and it will take roughly eight months for the new quarterback to get over it.
