Samsung announces that it will announce its next big Galaxy phone in February

We are barely a few weeks into the year and it is time for some new flagship phones. Better strap in.

This is not a rumor. In a post on its website on Thursday afternoon, it was announced that the next iteration of the livestream will take place in February. It is most likely to be streamed on the YouTube channel. We are pretty sure that the event will cover the next generation of GALAXY S, which we are pretty sure will be called GALAXY S22.

The new phone details have leaked ahead of time. We have seen renders of the 6.8-inch S22 Ultra from MySmartPrice. The new Ultra has a slot for the S-Pen on the bottom and a flat top on the sides. The Ultra has a quad-camera array on the back with a108MP main lens and a 12MP ultra-wide lens.

The design characteristics of the new phones seem to be the same as those of the old ones. The recently released S21 FE might be the one for those who want a more S-like experience.

It is not clear how much smaller the regular S22 will be or how its camera setup will differ from the Ultra just yet, but it will be covered in the Unpacked stream. If you have more than $1,000 lying around, one of these new-fangled phones should eat it in February.
