The Dallas Cowboys lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
The stars of the team showed up and played, according to Irvin. If your stars don't show up, you can't win this game. The passer rating is 69 by the man, who is also the running back and the receiver.

He said that the star players were playing like role players. That's why they have their butt at home.

In his defense, the Cowboys only called 12 running plays for him and only attempted 21 rushes. San Francisco's front seven dominated the line of scrimmage.
Lamb was only targeted five times. The 2020 first-round pick isn't expected to do much in prime-time.

Troy Aikman criticized the team's game plan and scheme for not getting Lamb more involved.

It's not easy to find an excuse for the performance of the quarterback, who finished the game 23 of 43 for 254 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He was fired five times.
San Francisco's pass rush was great for most of the game until Nick Bosa went down with a concussion in the second quarter. But he didn't play well.
It is becoming a theme in big games.
In a Week 16 game against the Philadelphia Eagles in the playoffs, the quarterback finished 25-of-40 for 265 yards with no touchdown, no picks and two sacks. The Cowboys scored nine points. The Eagles won the division and Dallas missed the playoffs.
The Cowboys needed to beat Seattle in Week 16 in order to make the playoffs. Instead, the Cowboys failed to score a touchdown and were beaten 21-12 by Seattle, meaning they would miss the playoffs.
As the team's starter, he has 1,048 yards, six touchdown, three interceptions, nine sacks and a 61.0 completion percentage. Not great production from the quarterback.

There are a lot of things to point at in Dallas, from Mike McCarthy's questionable time management all the way to Jerry Jones' ownership, which has overseen just four playoff wins since the team's last title in 1995. The buck stops.
On Sunday, it started with Lamb.
