Medora Clai Reading said in a complaint that she was told by a flight attendant to keep her mask on a Southwest Airlines flight from Washington, D.C. to Palm Beach, Florida.

Reading said that she had trouble breathing because of a heart condition, low blood sugar, and claustrophobia. She said drinking water helped with her medical issues.

Southwest Airlines CEO spoke out on the cancellation chaos.

She told a Southwest employee about her conditions when she bought the ticket, and she was seated at the front of the plane.

According to the complaint, Reading was talking to a Southwest employee before boarding the plane when a gate supervisor told her that the airline didn't care about her medical status.

Reading asked for a bottle of water from the flight attendant, who asked her if she needed to take medication.

Reading said in the complaint that the flight attendant told her "we don't care" and that she had to keep her face covering at all times.

She started drinking the water that was given to her. The complaint states that the flight attendant shouted at her, saying "You were talking!" when she was explaining that she needed to drink water.

Reading alleged in the complaint that a gate attendant told her to get off the flight.

Southwest will roll out a fourth fare type.

Reading said in the complaint that she never received a full refund for the plane ticket, despite being told she was entitled to one. Reading has sued Southwest for $10 million.
