NBA: Joel Embiid shines for Philadelphia 76ers as Nikola Jokic stars for Denver Nuggets

The Philadelphia 76ers beat the Magic 123-110 behind a career-high 50 point performance by Joel Embiid.

The 76ers made it three defeats in a row for Magic as the Cameroonian scored with 17 of his 23 shots from the floor and 15 of 17 free throws.

The only other 76ers with multiple 50-point games was Allen Iverson.

"I was feeling good," he said. "Just playing my game, dominating like I've been doing all season."

The Denver Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Clippers 130-128 in overtime thanks to a three-pointer by team-mate Aaron Gordon.

Jokic missed his career-high score by one point, but the Nuggets are now sixth in the Western Conference, three places above the Clippers.

In Milwaukee, Antetokounmpo had 33 points, 15 rebound, and seven assists as the Brewers beat the Memphis Grizzlies. It was the first defeat on the road for Memphis since December and the result ended the two-game losing streak.

The Chicago Bulls, who are in the lead of the Eastern Conference, were too strong for the Cleveland Cavaliers in a 117-104 win. The Miami Heat made it back-to-back victories with a 104-92 win over the Portland Trail blazers.

Luka Doncic scored a season-best 41 points and made a crucial three-pointer with one minute remaining as the Dallas Mavericks made it four wins in a row with a 102-98 triumph against the visiting Toronto Raptors. The Mavericks have won 10 of their last 11 matches.

He scored 50 points for the second time in his career.

The Detroit Pistons overcame a 10-point deficit with less than three minutes to play to beat the Kings 133-131 on a career-high 35 points by Terence Davis.

The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Indian Pacers. Pacers guard Caris LeVert scored 22 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter to help secure the win over the Lakers.

The Brooklyn Nets beat the Washington Wizards in a game that featured 30 points from Kyrie Irving and 27 points from LaMarcus Aldridge. The Nets are third in the Eastern Conference.

Dejounte Murray racked up 23 points, 14 assists and 10 rebound in just three quarters of play to lead a balanced San Antonio attack as the Spurs hammered the Oklahoma CityThunder 118-96.

The Charlotte Hornets beat the Boston Celtics, the Atlanta Hawks beat the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Houston Rockets beat the Utah Jazz.
