The Task Manager in Windows 11 is going to be changed by Microsoft. Like the rest of the operating system, the Task Manager is getting a new design. Gustave Monce, an engineering student, discovered the work-in-progress while running Windows 11 on a phone, and shared it on Discord.

It is possible to enable the new Task Manager in the latest preview builds of Windows 11. Monce says that the new build has a hidden feature. Everything is broken. It is early days for this new design, but it already includes a dark mode and interface that is very similar to the design changes in Windows 11.

The tabs in the Task Manager have been replaced with a sidebar that allows you to switch between different sections of the app. Task Manager is a part of Windows that was first introduced in Windows NT. It has not had any significant changes since it was last updated in Windows 8.

Most of the legacy parts of Windows are being changed by Microsoft. A new Media Player app is currently in testing, and Windows 11 is getting a new Notepad app with dark mode support.
