In a 123-110 win for the Philadelphia 76ers against the Magic on Wednesday night, Embiid scored in every conceivable way, scoring 50 points in 27 minutes.

When he told reporters after the game that he could mimic any number of NBA greats from the past, it didn't feel like hyperbole.

At times, I'm able to be Shaq, that's why I said me. I'm able to be Dirk or Kobe or MJ whenever I want. A combination of everything on the offensive side.

I was okay tonight.

The tape doesn't lie, so we'll have to review some of the highlights from Wednesday night to see if his walk backed up his talk.
He said he could play the same game as O'Neal. The same thing happened to the Magic.

Do you want to get a little bit of Dirk Nowitzki? A one-footed fadeaway? That is in his bag.

The big man is not playing like a shooting guard like Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan, right?
Maybe not exactly, but how many centers run a one-man break or hit a step-back three in someone's face?

Kobe fans will recognize this type of move.

Drew Hanlen, Embiid's shooting coach, said earlier in the day that the study of players like Kobe and MJ is paying off.

Maxey told reporters that he was a fan of the performance. "It was amazing."

Doc Rivers had a few more comparisons for him.

He said that he knew he was good when he got here.

While he still bangs on the boards and is an anchor for Philly's defense, the offensive arsenal of Embiid continues to grow. The runner-up of last year's award appears to be on the list of candidates again.
Many of the greats from the past have been borrowed by him. It's the ability to be a little bit of both Kobe and Dirk that makes him one of the game's true superstars.
