Stani graduated from Franklin High School and earned an education degree from Raritan Valley Community College, according to her obituary. She graduated from Rutgers University with a master's degree in education. She posted a photo of herself "rocking" her cap on the way to graduation ceremonies and planned to wear it all day.
Stani told a reporter that she started her career in early childhood education after graduating from RVCC.
Stani said that she started working at a day care center so she could make money and bring her daughter for free.
Stani overcame a lot of obstacles to reach this milestone. She lost her apartment because of a legal dispute with the complex's owner and was forced to seek shelter. In her final semester at RVCC, she cared for her daughter while taking six classes and working two jobs.
Stani said that when she thought about it, it was almost like a dream, but she couldn't picture how it would feel. It feels good, and it's very emotional for me.
On social media, she said she was proud of her mother and her accomplishments and that she was an "inspiration."
Stani loved music, particularly Dave Matthews Band, and loved to dance, but she was also fun to be around and could make people laugh.
Her obituary said that she was a strong, independent woman with a soft heart and a beautiful soul. She was the kind of person that you would never forget.
