Meta is adding a new feature to its virtual reality headsets that will allow you to pinch your fingers to open the Quick Action menu. The Quick Action menu is similar to the Control Center in that it gives you an easier way to access top-level settings.

To do the gesture while using hand tracking on the quest, hold your hand palm-up, then make a pinching motion, and you will be able to call up a shortcut menu that will make it easier to take screenshots, activation voice commands, and more. The company made a short film to show the gesture.

The new gesture is arriving with the new version of the software, which is rolling out on Wednesday. It's much easier to check out a website in virtual reality with one that lets you send a link from your device to your headset.

Here is a video of how it works.

Meta is making it possible to see a virtual representation of your hands and the keyboard when you pair the Magic Keyboard to the Quest 2. The virtual keyboard feature was first supported by Meta in April. To turn it on, you will need to pair your Apple Magic Keyboard with your Quest.
