Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr offer to sign Arsenal striker on loan until end of season

Al Nassr, a Saudi Arabian club, has offered to loan Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang until the end of the season.

Sky Sports News reported earlier this month that the club would consider offers for their former captain, who was stripped of the captaincy in December.

Reports suggest Al Nassr's loan offer includes an obligation to buy.

An exit in this transfer window would save him around £25m in wages for the rest of his contract, as he has 18 months left on his contract.

A positive test for Covid-19 led to the diagnosis of a heart problem for the player after he returned to London from the Africa Cup of Nations. The team's first two group games at the tournament did not feature the player.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left the African Cup of Nations early due to a medical issue and is currently in London for a checkup, according to Mikel Arteta.

"He's in London and now he's going through some examinations because we haven't had any clarity from the Gabon national team about the reasons why he came back," Arteta said.

It's our duty to make sure that he's in good health. The player has never had that issue with everything we've done with him.
