Kurt Rambis, senior basketball adviser to the Los Angeles Lakers, has advocated for the team to use larger lineups with centers Dwight Howard and DeAndre Jordan.

The report doesn't say if Rambis was pitching the team on playing Howard and Jordan individually in bigger lineups or if he believes they would be a good fit together.

Rambis won four NBA championship rings as a player, but also worked for the Lakers as an assistant general manager, assistant head coach, interim head coach, and senior basketball adviser.

Rambis attended his first coaches' meeting in person at the arena prior to the game against Utah on Monday.

The Lakers lost to the Kings 125-116 last Wednesday and Pelinka met with the head coach and assistant head coach.

The team is 22-22 through 44 games, and according to The Athletic's Bill Oram and Sam Amick, it's in serious jeopardy.

The team has "no current plans" to replace Vogel, according to the report.

Heading into the Jazz game, L.A. had lost three straight games by an average of 17 points. L.A. is still in seventh place in the Western Conference despite a win over the Jazz.

The Lakers have opted for smaller lineups as Anthony Davis works his way back from an injury, with LeBron James spending time at center. Veteran centers Howard and Jordan haven't seen a lot of playing time this year, with the veteran centers being shuffled in and out of lineups.

We'll see if Rambis' reported opinions are used by the Lakers and Vogel. The Lakers will look to get back to.500 on Wednesday against the Pacers.
