There is a new fee for Thailand if you want to go there this year. All tourists will be required to pay a fee in April to cover tourism development and expenses.

Thailand is a great place to go for a vacation. The number of tourists in the country fell from 40 million to 200,000 last year. The number of visitors is expected to rise to between five and 15 million this year. The money will be used to cover accident insurance for tourists who can't pay for it themselves, new tourist attractions, and improvements for infrastructure. The price of airline tickets will include the fee.

The fee will be used to take care of tourists. The governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand said that they had to take care of tourists when insurance didn't cover them.

Travelers from the US are currently required to submit a negative test before they leave for Thailand, and an insurance policy with coverage of $50,000 for medical expenses, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand. There are two schemes for foreign travelers. Travelers entering through the following areas are eligible for the Sandbox program: Travelers in the Sandbox program must provide a confirmed payment for at least a seven-day stay at an approved accommodation, as well as pre-payment for two COVID-19 tests, one upon arrival, and another five-to-six days after staying at their approved accommodation.

Travelers with vaccine status can apply for the Thailand Pass through the Alternative Quarantine program. Travelers who haven't been fully vaccined will be subject to a 10-night quark. Visitors must pre-pay to stay in an Alternative Quarantine accommodation.
