The devastation left by the eruption can be seen in new satellite images. The eruption has had a serious impact on Australia and New Zealand, and the damage is visible in the images. In addition to the ash coming from the volcano, it also caused a wave that was as wide as Los Angeles.

People are being evacuated from affected areas on the different islands. The eruption destroyed all of the houses on Mango island, and left only two houses left on Fonoifua island, according to the statement. The statement noted that the eruption has caused some problems, though volcanic activity has decreased and the warning has been canceled.
Water supplies have compromised the safety of drinking water, and officials worry that relief efforts could spread the COVID-19 to the islands, which have been almost completely free of the virus during the ongoing Pandemic, according to the World Health Organization.
