Sources -- LA Clippers extending Paul George's period of rest a few more weeks to see how elbow responds

Sources told Adrian Wojnarowski that the LA Clippers are extending Paul George's period of rest for the torn ulnar collateral in his right elbow a few more weeks to see how it responds.

George did not play in the win over the Kings. He missed five games after he injured his elbow against Portland. He felt better after two games, but after an exam he was told he had a torn ulnar collaterale in his shooting elbow.

George would need to see how the elbow healed before he could do anything.

The Clippers were 17-15 when George last played. The Clippers went 5-5 without their star guard.

The team has been hit hard by injuries. It was without Leonard, who tore his knee in the Clippers' second-round series against the Utah Jazz. They have had to play stretches without some of their best players.

The next eight games for the Clips are on the road.
