White House warns ‘small percentage’ of people can’t order its rapid COVID-19 tests

The administration website went live on Tuesday, nearly a month after President Joe Biden announced that Americans would be able to order rapid at- home COVID-19 tests for free. Users were unable to place orders to homes or apartment buildings where other tenants already placed orders after the site launched.

The extent of the problem is still unclear, but the USPS will be issuing a statement soon, according to the White House.

Users trying to order tests to multiple family homes seem to be experiencing the most issues. When a user enters their information into the form, they are prompted with an error message that says their order could not be placed.

Our records show that at- home COVID-19 tests have already been ordered for this address. The ordering site states that they are unable to process duplicate orders for the same address.

The White House said last week that users will be able to call a hotline if they can't access the website. The initial program will allow four free tests to be requested per residential address, and there will be free tests available for every household.
