The CEO of Smartmatic was sued for defamation and deceptive trade practices by MyPillow.

Smartmatic alleged that Lindell spread lies about the machines being used to switch votes in the 2020 election because he wanted to be seen as a champion of deceptive messages that still sell.

There was no evidence of widespread fraud with Smartmatic's machines, which were only used in Los Angeles County, California.

Smartmatic claimed that the company's valuation has gone from being "in excess of $ 3.0 billion" before the 2020 election to less than $1 billion now, based on its estimated 2020 sales.

Smartmatic wants an order that would require MyPillow and Lindell to retract their false statements fully and completely.
