Indiana Pacers' Myles Turner has stress fracture in foot, expected to be out beyond trade deadline, sources say

Turner is expected to be out for at least a month with a stress reaction in his left foot, complicating the Pacers' attempts to trade him prior to the summer.

Turner will be re-examined in two weeks for a stress reaction. The recovery time could be a month.

Turner is expected to have a CT Scan in two weeks to check on the healing, which will help to clarify a return date. Turner has been central to the Pacers' plans to rebuild their roster.

Turner's time away from the court and his lack of activity could temper offers to the Pacers, and perhaps a deal around the NBA draft in June could be a better avenue to bring back maximum value. Sources said that the Pacers have been talking to several veterans in trade talks.

Turner leads the NBA in blocks during both the 2020 and 2021 seasons, and has averaged more than 10 points and 7 points per game this season.
