The new stylus is designed for K-12 students. It is Works with Chromebooks certified and will work with touchscreen Chromebooks that support the Universal Stylus Initiative (USI) standard. The initiative was supported by a number of manufacturers, including Intel and Lenovo, who have released USI-compatible Chromebooks over the years.
The Logitech Pen works with many brands. The Vice President of Mobility and Head of Education Solutions at Logitech said in a statement that they created the Logitech Pen to "unlock the full potential of Chromebooks in the classroom."
Even children can hold the pen in a size that is comfortable. The Surface Slim Pen 2's active tip has the same pressure sensitivity as the Surface Slim Pen 2, and can be used to write on paper more closely than a stylus with a rubber tip or a finger can. The standard says that the students can just pick up the pen and use it.
The Pen's battery can last for up to 15 days with regular school use, and can be charged using a standardusb-c charge. It is spill-proof and has military-grade drop protection of up to four feet. It will be available in the United States and select markets for $65.
