Transgender-rights activists will not be charged over posting photo of author JK Rowling's home online, reports say

According to reports from The Guardian and Evening Standard, police in Scotland won't charge the three activists who posted a photo online showing the home address of authorjkrowling.

In November of 2021, the "Harry Potter" author said that demonstrators had posted a photo of her address. At the time, she accused activists of doxxing her.
Activists and fans of the "Harry Potter" franchise have criticized the author for her transphobia.

Insider reported last month that real-life organizations inspired by the sport in the book series would change their names because of her anti-trans positions.
Activists say that a popular anti- trans myth encourages violence in the trans community, and that's why they're upset that she invoked it in her June 2020 essay on her website.

If you open the doors of the bathroom and the changing room to any man who believes or feels he's a woman, you open the door to all men.
The Hill reported that demonstrators visited the home of Rowling in November. According to GLAAD, the day is held to honor the lives lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.
