Since the end of the season, Nebraska's quarterback room has completely changed through the transfer portal, and on Monday it added another name, Chubba Purdy.

Adrian was a starter for Nebraska at the end of the season. In an inconsistent year, the quarterback threw for 2,863 yards, 14 touchdown and 10 pick ups.

Scott Frost brought in a former Texas quarterback as a transfer after he left. Thompson started 10 games for the Longhorns last season and had 2,421 yards, 24 touchdown and nine interceptions.

After visiting both Nebraska and Oklahoma, Frost was able to land Purdy, a former quarterback for the Cornhuskers.

He signed with Florida State as a recruit in the 2020 class. He was one of two quarterbacks in the class.

With the other two players ahead of him on the roster, Purdy threw only five passes for 98 yards and two touchdown.

With Purdy on the roster, the offensive staff has competition at the position to stabilizing the offense. The Cornhuskers have not made a bowl game in four years under Scott Frost.
