Christian Eriksen: Brentford consider signing Denmark midfielder

Inter Milan's Christian Eriksen won the title in 2020.

The possibility of signing Christian Eriksen has been talked about by the team at Brentford.

Inter Milan canceled the contract of Eriksen last month after he was told he couldn't play in Italy because he had an ICD.

A number of clubs are interested in signing him, but there is no regulation in the premier league.

There is no agreement yet.

Thomas Frank is the manager of Brentford.

The Bees are currently 14th in the league and have not been in the top flight since 1947.

During the Euro 2020 match against Finland, Eriksen had a cardiac arrest and had a pacemaker fitted.

He won the Italian title with Inter Milan last season but was no longer able to represent the club as players fitted with ICD cannot compete in the Italian league.

In December, Inter Milan and Eriksen agreed to cancel his contract, and the player has since started training alone.

The 29-year-old wants to play for the Danes at the World Cup in 2022.

The bees have a pre-tax loss.

Matthew Benham has invested over 100 million dollars into the club.

Benham's loans and equity have funded the Bees' rise to the top flight and their move into their new stadium.

Without the sale of players including Said Benrahma's transfer to West Ham, the loss would have been over $60 million.

Covid-related losses are estimated to be up by more than one million dollars for the 2020-21 season.
