Microsoft is testing some deeper integrations in its Edge browser. A new feature in the latest Canary builds of Edge lets you easily follow your favorite content creators on YouTube.

The address bar of pages on the video sharing website has a new follow button. The Collections feature in Edge has a feed that follows creators. The feature is still in the early stages, and it doesn't support all of the creators on the site. You can see recent posts from creators you follow in the Collections feed.

The new feature in Edge is web following.

The deeper integration with YouTube will likely extend to other parts of the web. The Edge followable web feature is similar to the experimental feature in Chrome that allows people to follow creators and get the latest content when it is published. This is an extension of RSS inside the browser.

The new Edge feature is only being trialed with a limited number of Edge Canary testers. We are expecting to hear more about the followable web feature in Edge in the coming weeks.
