Pastor Michael Todd Rubs Spit On Face of Churchgoer Out of Tulsa, OK

It doesn't make us feel any better that the spit-receiver is Mike's younger brother. Still weird.

A famous pastor out of Oklahoma had to sell one to make his point about seeing God's hazy vision for ourselves in 2022, in his sermon this weekend.

Michael Todd, the leader of the Transformation Church in Tulsa, conjured up gross reactions from his congregation during his service on Sunday, which was being streamed for the people at home. He wiped his spit on the face of a person who was volunteering for a festival.

The guy stood there and took it. It's crazy to see this video of the moment it happened, because Mike builds up to it with a lot of theater.

The purpose of this was to emphasize his analogy about how "receiving vision from God might get nasty." He seems to be saying that sometimes, you'll have to go through some muck to fulfill God's will. Or something like that!

As the audience gasps in horror at his weird stunt, MT fully leans into it, arguing that it's the exact sort of response one will get for answering God's call, no matter how counterintuitive it might feel.

He's getting roasted online over this, as is the guy who allowed himself to be the guinea pig. On account of the Pandemic.

Even if God cosigns, it doesn't seem safe.
