The game between the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys ended in controversy when a referee bumped into the quarterback as he was trying to spike the ball.

Alex Kemp, the referee, said that the game official spotted the ball properly.

The game officials did their job, according to Kevin. He said that players should hand the ball to the umpire or another official to get a better look at the ball.

Tyler Biadasz placed the ball down in preparation for the rest of the offense to get into position. The umpire had to force his way through the offensive line to get to the ball, and the spike was too late.
The rule is that the ball can't be snapped until an official touches it to confirm the spot.
The idea of running the ball up the middle with no timeouts was questionable at best.
The play didn't work out for the offense and the quarterback. There would have been more time to spike the ball if he had stopped running sooner. It was a risky call when the offense was moving the ball through the air on the final drive.
McCarthy defended his decision to have the quarterback run the ball, telling reporters that it was the best option. He said he was expecting more time on the clock.
The Cowboys will return to the drawing board after their season is over. They haven't won a Super Bowl since 1995 and have just two playoff wins in the last decade.
